Salix Monitor 360 is live and ready to use
Salix Monitor 360 is fully live now. Sign-ups are open and the platform can be used normally. There has not been a big marketing launch yet, mainly because there is no need to force one. The product is live, the public site is there and the search engines can take their time catching up.
Most of the heavy development work on Salix Monitor 360 is finished, which has opened up time for a couple of other ideas that have been sitting in the background. Those ideas have now turned into real applications: Willow Client Desk and Willow Compliance Desk.
What has been happening since the last update
Salix is fully live
The monitoring platform is open, usable and ready for normal day-to-day use.
Client Desk
A new client service and delivery application is already well into development.
Compliance Desk
A new compliance and risk application is being built specifically for organisations in Jersey and Guernsey.
Test before subscribing
Both new applications will have public test logins before paid subscriptions are switched on.
Salix Monitor 360 is live, just without the marketing noise
Salix Monitor 360
Salix Monitor 360 is not waiting for a launch button. It is already live, accepting real organisations and ready for day-to-day use. Monitoring, alerts, reports, agents, companion apps and the usual account features are all running on the live service.
The only thing being held back is the big marketing push. That is deliberate. There is more value in letting the service run normally, making the odd usability improvement and allowing the public site to settle than in trying to manufacture a busy launch day.
Google visibility does not happen instantly either. New pages and recently changed pages can take a few weeks to be crawled, indexed and re-evaluated properly. That process is already happening, so for now the sensible thing is to let the search presence build naturally.
Two new ideas have turned into real applications
With Salix no longer taking every available development hour, there is room to build some other useful business software. Client Desk and Compliance Desk are the first two applications to come out of that change of pace.
Willow Client Desk
Availability: Client Desk is currently in English only and is intended only for businesses in Jersey, Guernsey and the United Kingdom. It is not offered for businesses in other countries.
Client Desk started from a very practical place. The Willow customer development area already had projects, updates, feedback threads and approvals. Once that workflow was working well, it made sense to turn the useful parts into a proper standalone application.
The result is a client service and delivery workspace. It is not trying to become another huge project-management system full of features that small businesses never use.
- Projects, approvals, delivery evidence and searchable history
- Business-hours SLA conversations and round-robin work queues
- Forms, secure file requests, knowledge and time recording
- Visual automations, shared calendar, API and webhooks
- Customer SMTP, QR TOTP with recovery codes and reporting
Willow Compliance Desk
Availability: Compliance Desk is currently in English only and supports the Jersey and Guernsey jurisdictions only. It is not available for the United Kingdom or any other country.
Compliance Desk came from a different problem: keeping policies, evidence, reviews, suppliers, assessments and follow-up work organised without everything ending up in separate spreadsheets and folders.
It is being built as a compliance and risk operating system for organisations in Jersey and Guernsey. It helps organise compliance work and evidence. It is not legal advice and using it does not automatically make an organisation compliant.
- Programme Health, guided workflows and multi-jurisdiction scope
- Controls, evidence, testing, assessments and remediation
- Supplier assurance, audit and Regulatory Watch
- AI governance, evidence packs, API and webhooks
- Customer SMTP and QR TOTP authentication
Try them properly before subscriptions open
There is no rush to put a price button on either application. Client Desk is intended only for businesses in Jersey, Guernsey and the United Kingdom. Compliance Desk is limited to the Jersey and Guernsey jurisdictions and is not available for the United Kingdom or any other country.
Open the test application
Visit Client Desk or Compliance Desk without signing up for a paid account.
Use the test login
Use the real application rather than looking through a set of marketing screenshots.
Reset every three hours
The shared test environment clears itself every three hours so old test data does not hang around.
Subscriptions come later
Paid subscriptions stay switched off until the application is good enough for a proper release.
Hosted by Willow or kept as a single-company installation
Willow-hosted SaaS
The main version of each product is a multi-tenant service hosted and run by Willow Software on willowsoftware.co.uk. That is the straightforward option for businesses that just want to log in and use it.
Single-company edition
A separate single-organisation version is also being kept up to date for cases where an organisation may need an in-house installation. Changes that make sense in both editions will be kept aligned rather than letting the products drift apart.
A few other things have changed as well
Customer development portal
The Willow customer development area now has a much clearer project, feedback and approval flow, including project history, customer-visible notes, conversation threads, approvals and the option to withdraw an approval when another change is needed.
The blog has had a tidy-up
The blog itself has been cleaned up too. Articles now have a more consistent layout, clearer sections, better spacing and less clutter while still sitting inside the normal Willow website design.
Salix development has eased off, not stopped
Finishing the bulk of Salix Monitor 360 does not mean leaving it alone. Smaller usability fixes, public-site loading improvements, responsive work and the British English, French, German and Spanish presentation are still being worked on as needed.
The difference is simply that Salix no longer needs every available development hour. That leaves room for Client Desk, Compliance Desk and whatever useful business idea comes next.
